Military Service Verification

Everything to know about Military Service Verification.

What is a Military Service Verification?

A Military Service Verification is a check that confirms an individual’s military service history. It validates the details of their service, including the branch they served in, their rank, duties, and duration of service. This check is valuable when considering veterans for positions, or when a job requires certain military skills or experience.

How to run a Military Service Verification Report?

To run a Military Service Verification, you can request the individual’s DD 214 form, which provides a complete record of their military service. Alternatively, for U.S. veterans, you can use the National Archives’ Veterans’ Service Records system or the Defense Manpower Data Center’s (DMDC) online service. Always ensure you have the applicant’s consent to access this information and that you comply with all relevant privacy laws.
